AU professor receives award for his research into eye diseases

Professor, Department Chair Toke Bek from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital has received an award for his research into eye diseases (ophthalmology).

Toke Bek conducts research into eye diseases. More specifically, how to find, diagnose and treat diseases of the eye's retina, particularly in patients with diabetes. This is the research for which Professor, Department Chair Toke Bek from the Department of Clinical Medicine at Aarhus University has been honoured.

He received The KKK Lundsgaard and Acta Gold Medal Prize of DKK 50,000 at the Nordic Congress of Ophthalmology in Oslo at the end of August. The award is made jointly by the Nordic ophthalmology associations.
