Debate on the implications of establishing a Danish genome bank

Should Denmark have a genome database of the Danish population, and who should have access to it? Take part in the debate on the implications of establishing a Danish genome bank at the Festival of Research 2015.

2015.04.23 | Mads Henning Jensen

Date Thu 23 Apr Fri 24 Apr
Time 09:30    00:00
Location Aarhus & København

You are invited to participate in one of four debates that will be held in Aarhus and Copenhagen. The debates are your chance to express your opinions about important issues, such as:

  • Would you be willing to contribute your genome to a genome bank?
  • How do you think genetic data should be protected in relation to your right to privacy?
  • Do you think industry should be allowed access to the genome bank to develop new medicines?

Participants will also have a chance to ask genetic researchers and ethicists questions. If you participate, you’ll learn more about an exciting new field of research full of opportunities as well as important questions that affect all of us. You don’t need any prior knowledge of the subject to participate.
