GDPR service notice: How to delete emails automatically

You can configure folders in Outlook to delete mails automatically, so you can be sure you don’t save sensitive personal data longer than is legal.

You have  the option of configuring different ‘policies’ for your personal folders in Outlook. A personal folder is a folder you created yourself, as opposed to system folders like ‘Inbox’ or ‘Sent mail’.

An example: You can set up a folder called ‘To be deleted within 30 days’ and save all mails containing sensitive personal data in the folder. After you configure a delete policy for the folder, all content will be automatically deleted at the interval you select, for example 30 days.
