UN Conference: International Commercial Law from a Nordic and Baltic Perspective: Status and Current Challenges

The Secretariat of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and Aarhus University, Department of Law invite all those with an interest in international commercial law to the conference in September.

Background
The trading communities of the Nordic and Baltic countries have experienced several changes to the regional and international regulation of cross-border trade, such as the implementation of CISG part II in the Nordic region, the recognition of freedom of form in the Baltic states, and the creation of the Common European Sales Law.

Purpose of the conference
The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for reconsideration of the current status and challenges of international commercial law. At the conference, leading legal experts will present what they believe to be the most challenging and important issues in the interpretation, application, unification, and research of international commercial law.
