Danish HIV research published in The Lancet

The final results from a study conducted by a group of Danish researchers have just been published in The Lancet HIV. In this human pilot clinical trial a cancer drug was used to drive HIV out of hiding by activating production of latent virus.

This year the programme comprises five Lundbeck Foundation Lectures and three Science cafés, two of which take place in the Greenhouses. The Science cafés take place during the day in the weekend, while the Lundbeck Foundation Lectures take place on weekday evenings.

The budget cutbacks at AU mean that cleaning at Health has altered its standards. This will have an effect on offices, lecture halls and common areas.

Aarhus University, Health and Peking University Health Science Center have entered into a new partnership. So Master's and PhD students from Health now have exchange opportunities at one of China's biggest universities.

Restructuring of parking spaces around Vennelyst Boulevard

Some parking spaces will be closed while others will be established in connection with the start of construction of the new Biomedicine building. In addition, Aarhus Municipality’s work on the light rail transit project will also affect parking.

Professor Charlotte Ringsted will be the new Vice-Dean for Education at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Aarhus University. She comes from a position as director of a research into medical education at the University of Toronto. She will take up her new position on 1 January 2015.

Charlotte Ringsted has many years of experience of research and management of healthcare education programmes.
