Abstract
Poul Sørensen will introduce his career path from his Master Studies at Aarhus University in 1988 to his work today with a focus on the potential of open innovation in pharmaceutical R&D.

Biography
Poul Sørensen is Senior Vice President, Strategic Development at Stallergenes, a global French based pharmaceutical company specialized in the treatment and management of severe allergic disorders (www.stallergenes.com). He is member of Stallergenes’ Executive Committee with responsibility for Strategy, Corporate and Business Development as well as their R&D Project Portfolio and Alliance Management.

Poul Sørensen has more than 20 years of international leadership experience from leading Pharma and Biotech companies and has avid interests in the science, therapy, and management of immune mediated diseases. He has been responsible for multiple teams discovering and transitioning new concepts in cancer, autoimmune, allergic and chronic inflammatory conditions.

Poul Sørensen holds a MSc. in Molecular Biology from Aarhus University and a PhD in Biochemistry from University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Especially younger scientists and students are encouraged to participate and to talk with the speaker.
