Title: Novel Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) methods for small animal brain imaging.

Conrad will present his work at UC Davis to develop novel OCT systems and methods for small animal cortical imaging. His primary work focuses on Dynamic Contrast OCT (DyC-OCT) which uses a bolus injection of contrast agent and indicator-dilution theory to extract quantitative kinetic, volume, and flow information from microvasculature. Results demonstrating layer-specific differences throughout the mouse cortex will be shown. Conrad will also present some of his work on 1700nm OCT for deeper brain imaging and on visible light optical coherence microscopy for high resolution imaging of myelinated axons and spectroscopic imaging of blood oxygenation.
