Diabetes Research Symposium: Digital Health & Self-Management

27-28 May Aalborg, DK

This 2-day symposium will introduce you to current research and evidence-based clinical work within digital health and self-management in diabetes. Focus areas are glucose management, and prevention and treatment of diabetes complications. PhD students have the opportunity to present a poster and receive constructive feedback on their work by senior researchers in field. The symposium is directed to PhD students (2 ECTS) and clinicians as well as people working with or having an interest in diabetes research. A certain number of seats are reserved for PhD students.

Treatment of diabetes, obesity and assessment of end organ damage (kidney and liver/intestine)

18-19 June Copenhagen, DK

The aim of this 2-day symposium is to facilitate a high quality symposium in the assessment and treatment of end organ damage in kidney and metabolic disease by providing new markers of interest, ultrasound and scanners and laboratory equipments of interest in kidney, liver and diabetes management and assessment. This symposium is intended for basic and clinical researchers, PhD students (1.7 ECTS), medical students, industry trial planners and directors, industry technical staff working within any field of diabetes, including both clinical, basic and translational research/work and/or interdisciplinary research/work within fields related to diabetes.

Frontiers in Microbiome

Research The purpose of Frontiers in Microbiome Research is to gather experienced and young researchers in the different fields of microbiome research in relation to metabolic and inflammatory diseases in order to initiate and establish networks and collaboration across borders. Frontiers in Microbiome Research addresses PhD students (2.7 ECTS) across scientific domains involved in research on the microbiome or in a related field of relevance to the area. MDs and postdocs can also apply for a seat at the course.

DDA Summer School on Diabetes & Metabolism

30 August - 2 September Hotel Gl. Avernæs, Ebbedrup, DK

At the DDA Summer School, participants get knowledge about novel aspects and most recent developments within diabetes and metabolism at a high level. DDA Summer School is for PhD students (2.7 ECTS), both clinicians and basal scientists working within metabolism and metabolic diseases including diabetes, obesity, endocrinology, and cardiology.
