Danish Society for Neuroscience (DSfN)
The central nervous system (CNS) has an important role in the regulation of food intake, insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. On the other hand, factors regulating glucose and lipid metabolism in the periphery critically affect brain function as well as the development of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Furthermore, the field of delivering therapeutics from the periphery to the CNS is rapidly developing and is of immense clinical interest.
The theme for the Annual Meeting in the Danish Society for Neuroscience 2018 is crossroads between metabolism and the brain. This year, we will bring together basic scientists, clinicians, epidemiologists and industry, and address topics including access to the brain, the brain and appetite regulation, gut to brain signaling, the brain and glucose metabolism, and how metabolism and neurological disorders intersect.
