Assistant Professor Mads Sloth Vinding has received 1.975.632 DKK from VILLUM FONDEN for the project: "Novel deep penetration hyperthermia methodology: can we treat deep-seated tumors with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)?"

14.06.2017 | Henriette Blæsild Vuust

This project aims to evaluate a potential hyperthermia treatment of brain tumors with tomorrows MRI technology. For this purpose, the project will encompass electrical properties tomography, MR thermometry, numerical field simulations, advanced optimal control pulse sequences and specialised model phantoms.

The grant covers salary, running costs, and equipments.

The Villum Experiment is created for the very special research projects that challenge the norm and have the potential to fundamentally alter the way we approach important topics.
