Global diabetes journal club

Global Diabetes Journal Club (GDJC) Talks We are very pleased to announce that our global diabetes journal club is opening up to all with an interest in diabetes-related research. Our aim is to disseminate some of the most recent developments in the field of diabetes research to those working within the field. We aim to give early-career researchers from around the globe an opportunity to present their research to an interested audience of other diabetes researchers. The next GDJC Talk is Thursday 5 November 2020 at 13-14h UK time by Dr. Jordi Merino who will talk about “Gene-lifestyle interplay in type 2 diabetes” Zoom link: aarhusuniversity.zoom.us/j/68781137422   We use the @GDiabetesJC twitter handle to provide some background on each month’s topic, writing short threads and linking to important papers and other relevant resources. So, give us a follow if you want an easy way to learn more about various topics related to diabetes research.   The GDJC is organized by four early-career diabetes researchers. Daniel Ibsen, Department of Public Heath, Aarhus University (@daniel_ibsen) Lauren Wedekind, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, University of Oxford (@wedekindle) Omar Silverman, Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, Aarhus University Hospital (@SilvermanOmar) Camille Mba, MRC Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge (@CamiyMba)   The journal club was founded after attending the Cambridge Diabetes Seminar in 2019.
