Abstract:
This talk will present a theoretical framework of different syntactic processes in music, and show neuroscientific data investigating these processes. I will present event-related potential (ERP) correlates of different regular grammar processing types (i.e., based on auditory sensory memory or longer-term statistical learning), and of the processing of non-local dependencies. Moreover, I will present data investigating associations between predictive and syntactic processing.
All are welcome!
