Title:
On emotion and the Psychology of Aesthetics
Abstract:
Recently, research in the Psychology of Aesthetics has seen a revived interest in emotion. In my talk, I will review work on the aesthetic appreciation and enjoyment of negative emotion. Examples will comprise disgust and anger. Also, the long theorized importance of the feeling of being moved has lately seen some empirical evidence, which will be touched upon in my presentation.
