We are proud to announce that CFIN researchers Mads Sloth Vinding, Torben Ellegaard Lund and colleagues have been selected as Editor’s Pick for June 2021 in the Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (MRM) journal for their article on: "DeepControl: 2DRF pulses facilitating B1+ inhomogeneity and B0 off-resonance compensation in vivo at 7 T".
15.06.2021 |
The article is about using deep neural networks to compute patient-specific 2D spatial-selective RF pulses for MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), e.g. to facilitate zoomed imaging of brain regions of interest. By training a deep neural network to mimic a conventional pulse design method, we can produce these pulses in real time (under 10 milliseconds, or more than a thousand times faster than conventionally), which makes them feasible for clinical practice. The method was demonstrated in vivo at tomorrow’s ultrahigh field strength of 7 Tesla.
The study was first published in January 2021.
