Aarhus University and the Central Denmark Region set up a joint centre for genome data

The use of human genomes in research and patient treatment requires a supercomputer in order to be able to handle the analysis and storage of the enormous amounts of data. The Central Denmark Region and Aarhus University are now establishing a joint genome data centre.

Quota 2 admissions to medicine become permanent

The accreditation panel paid a visit – we’ll know the answer next summer

At the beginning of November, the accreditation panel made its second and final visit to AU. At Health, focus was on the quality assurance system at odontology and the Master's degree programme in nursing. The final decision will be announced in June 2017.

Contract with EMA on infection research

Alma B. Pedersen and Reimar W. Thomsen have won a competitive 175,000 Euro contract with the European Medicines Agency on doing research in the field of multidrug-resistant Gram-negative infections. The research is part of a framework contract on pharmacoepidemiology studies between the EMA and DCE, led by Vera Ehrenstein and Henrik Toft Sørensen.
