World Robot Olympiad 2016 - Danish Finals

Saturday October 1st the Department of Computer Science will host the annual Danish qualification rounds of the World Robot Olympiad 2016.

Aarhus University is seeking a new board member

Michael Christiansen will step down from the Aarhus University Board when his term ends at the end of January 2017. The board encourages employees, staff and external stakeholders to propose new potential members by 24 October 2016.

Denmark's first female professor of forensic medicine, Annie Vesterby Charles, from Aarhus University became a Knight of the Order of Dannebrog on Friday 23 September.

Professor of forensic medicine made Knight of the Order of Dannebrog

Professor Annie Vesterby Charles MD, DMSc, former state-appointed forensic pathologist at the Department of Forensic Medicine, Aarhus University, is being awarded the Cross of Honour of the Order of Dannebrog. She also becomes a Knight of the Order of Dannebrog.

Dentist receives chewing gum prize

Peter Bangsgaard Stoustrup, associate professor, dental specialist and PhD at Aarhus University, receives the Bagger Sørensen Foundation's Talent Award 2016. A student job working for the very same chewing gum factory in Vejle was actually what inspired the young dentist to take up research.
