Using nano-scale spintronic devices, researchers aim to build novel artificial brain

New research project to develop AI hardware; a completely new kind of computer system that mimics how the human brain is built up. With everyone working from home, email programs are working overtime in many places. But if you are drowning in a sea of unclear and half-read emails, then fear not! Here are 10 tips on how to make email communication better for all of us.

Previous studies have shown that motivational interviewing may have a beneficial short term effect in changing someone’s weight, level of exercise or smoking habits. It has also been shown that motivational interviewing results in more satisfied patients and that the general practitioners who conduct the interviews assess them as being effective. However, none of the previous studies have shown whether motivational interviewing can affect morbidity or mortality several years later.

A talk with your GP may prevent cardiovascular disease

Having a general practitioner (GP) who is trained in motivational interviewing may reduce your risk of getting cardiovascular disease. But only if you do not already have diabetes or are at risk of developing it. This is shown by a new randomised study from Aarhus University.

New Doctor of Medical Science conducts research into better treatment of kidney patients

Associate Professor Rikke Nørregaard from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital has defended her higher doctoral dissertation and can now call herself Doctor of Medical Science. She conducts research into kidney diseases and kidney function with the aim of improving treatment of kidney patients.
