Increase in phishing mails

Aarhus University is seeing an uptick in phishing mails from cybercriminals pretending to be AU managers or colleagues. Please be extra vigilant about these kinds of emails.

Researchers from Aarhus University document that the risk of atrial fibrillation is not linked to the amount of body fat, but instead to a high fat-free weight. Senior Researcher at the Research Unit for General Practice, Morten Fenger-Grøn (picture), is behind the study together with Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Lars Frost.

Atrial fibrillation among overweight people is not due to fat

In a recently published study, researchers from Aarhus University document that the risk of atrial fibrillation is not linked to the amount of body fat, but instead to large muscle mass, or more precisely, a high fat-free weight.

Joint efforts between Nabavi and Capogna group have led to the development of a novel approach named TRACE ´Tracing Retrogradely the Activated Cell Ensemble’

The neural circuitry teams at DANDRITE and PROMEMO introduce a novel approach in their latest publication, which selectively labels sensory inputs that are activated by a defined stimulus and directed to a region of interest in the brain.

Limited reopening of additional on-site activities at the university

From Monday 18 May, a limited number of students and academic staff will be allowed on campus for selected exam and teaching activities. This additional limited reopening of our on-site activities is a consequence of the government’s decision to proceed to phase 2 of the reopening of Danish society.

Meet five professors who have devoted their brains to helping ours

In December 2019 the Lundbeck Foundation awarded grants worth DKK 232 million (USD 34 million) to leading neuroscientists in Denmark.
