Molecule from approved malaria medicine protects lung cells against COVID-19

New laboratory research from Aarhus University shows that the approved medicine Atovaquone, which is currently used to combat malaria, prevents infection with Covid-19 in different cells.

New project will make it easier to prove drug rape

The Council of the Danish Victims Fund provides DKK three million to support a new research project which will make it easier to identify the use of fantasy in drug rape. Among the researchers behind the project are Clinical Associate Professor Charlotte Uggerhøj Andersen and Senior Researcher Jørgen Bo Hasselstrøm from Aarhus University.

Doping researcher receives the Ministry of Culture's research award

On Tuesday 7 December 2021, the Minister of Culture Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen presented the ministry’s award for research, The Julius Bomholt Prize, to Associate Professor Ask Vest Christiansen from the Department of Public Health. He receives the award for his research into the use of performance-enhancing drugs in gym culture.
