In the new 2020 World University Ranking by Times Higher Education (THE) Aarhus University is now number 115 in the world. Making it the 5th best in Scandinavia.

Last year Aarhus University was number 123, so the university has gone up eight places.
The World University Ranking includes more than 1400 universities, making it one of the biggest international league tables. It is the only global university performance table to judge research-intensive universities across all of their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
One of the performance indicators where Aarhus University has improved is the number of international researchers.
