Collaborator meeting in Finland

As part of a collaboration between the US and the Nordic countries, researchers recently met in Helsinki, Finland to discuss existing and future projects. The projects are based on health registries in the Nordic countries. Pooling of data from these countries makes it possible to study the incidence of rare diseases and conditions. Some of the ongoing projects are on the association between pregnancy/birth characteristics and risk of cancer in the mother and offspring.
