Googling Robert Fenton reveals a researcher who is not unaccustomed to being showered with awards and prizes. Now he can add another major prize to his CV, as Robert Fenton is one of the five researchers who receive an Elite Researcher Prize 2018. The prize includes DKK 1.2 million, of which DKK 1 million goes to research activities, while the remainder is a personal award of merit.

Robert Fenton's research is directed towards epithelial cells - the cells that cover all the body's outer and inner surfaces. His research interest focuses on specific proteins located in the membranes of these cells. This research has recently contributed to a biological understanding of how different diets can be beneficial for blood pressure and thereby aid the prevention of diseases.
