Erasmus+ staff exchange in Lebanon and Israel

Through the international dimension of Erasmus+ (International Credit Mobility), AU can offer grants to staff to cover the expenses of a visit to one of the partner universities in Lebanon and Israel.

University visits can be undertaken up until 31 July 2017.

Stay in Lebanon

Academic staff: Two seven-day grants (plus two travel days)

Technical/administrative staff: Two five-day grants (plus two travel days)

The grant consists of a daily allowance of EUR 160 for the first 14 days, after which it is reduced to EUR 112. A contribution of EUR 530 per participant is also made towards travel expenses.

Partners: American University of Beirut and Lebanese American University.

Stay in Israel

Academic staff: Four five-day grants (plus two travel days)

Technical/administrative staff: Three five-day grants (plus two travel days)

The grant consists of a daily allowance of EUR 160 for the first 14 days, after which it is reduced to EUR 112. A contribution of EUR 530 per participant is also made towards travel expenses.

Partners: The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the University of Haifa and Tel Aviv University.

Special requirements for academic staff

Members of the academic staff are subject to an eight-hour teaching week requirement to enable the host university students to benefit from the visit as well. Therefore, the visit must be planned so as to ensure that the requirement can be met.
