At the University of Bath, Dr Caroline Ang has spent several years working on supporting researchers in their application process, and with her alternative methods and dedicated writing workshops, she has contributed to a significant increase in the university’s rate of success in funding applications - not least when it comes to EU grants which, before all the Brexit fuss, accounted for up to 25 per cent of the university’s total funding.

On Thursday 7 November 2019 between 13:00-14:30, the faculty's researchers, research directors and other interested parties can hear about her methods and experiences.

Caroline Ang’s presentation will focus on how to tackle the challenges of writing good and more effective funding applications. She will also present suggestions for how to identify your particular research project’s impact, how to improve the dissemination section, and how to plan a strategy for funding applications.

Caroline Ang is IMI Manager at the Institute for Mathematical Innovation at the University of Bath and has previously worked as Research Development Manager for EU and International Funding at the same university.
