On Friday 5 September at 11:00 the construction of the new biomedical research facilities at Aarhus University will officially begin. The Danish Ministry for Climate, Energy and Building Rasmus Helveg Petersen will be present to celebrate the start of the construction and he will cut the first sod.

The event not only marks the start of construction. It is at the same time the first stage in a comprehensive process comprising both new construction and renovation of Aarhus University's research facilities within biomedicine.

With the new building, modern and future-oriented research facilities will be created which can accommodate and attract the best researchers within the biomedical area.
