Guest talk by Simon Beggs

Simon Beggs from University of Toronto is visiting Health, Aarhus University on March 3

2015.02.25 | Susanne Schousboe Sjøgaard

Date Tue 03 Mar
Time 14:00 15:00
Location AIAS Auditorium, Aarhus University

The primary interests of Simon Beggs are the cellular and molecular mechanisms within the central nervous system that underlie neuropathic pain. He has pioneered research into how the immune system through glial-neuronal interactions contributes to changes in spinal cord excitability that drive peripheral nerve injury-induced pain. In identifying the core microglial neuronal signalling pathways, he has developed a new paradigm for pain research.

Simon Beggs will give a talk on "Microglia and Pain: Beyond Immunity", and the talk will take place in the AIAS auditorium, building 1632, Høegh-Guldbergs Gade 6B, 8000 Aarhus C, on Tuesday March 3rd.
