Health will inaugurate Institute for Biomedicine's new ultra-modern research building, named after Nobel Laureate Jens Christian Skou.

On Monday the 8th of October, on the day where Jens Christian Skou would have turned 100, the ribbon to Institute of Biomedicine's new research building, the Skou building, will be cut. The six floor, high-tech building includes new, advanced labs, animal facilities, offices, and common areas for approx. 300 employees and has a total budget of approx. 650 million kroner.
The building is located in the University Park on the corner of Vennelyst Boulevard and Høegh-Guldbergs Gade.
The inauguration, which is only for invitees, will include speeches, entertainment, a tour, and a reception. The time of the inauguration may be subject to change.
Later that day, a new exhibition on research and the life of researchers will open at Steno Museet by Aarhus University where Jens Christian Skou's reconstructed office will be displayed among others.
Furthermore, Nykjær lab, among others, will during the Autumn in the time after the inauguration, move to state-of-the-art facilities.
