Knowledge-sharing amongst peers in London prior to the marathon

Rasmus Nielsen represented RUNSAFE at the London Marathon Medicine Conference on Saturday 22nd of April. Together with Andrew Mitchell from University of Bedfordshire lights were shed on running injury causality, prevention and treatment.
Thank you to the audience for talking part in great discussions. We had chosen a quite provocative titel for the talk "All running overuse injuries are preventable". We hope, that your were able to grasp the viewpoints. In theory, it is possible to reduce overuse injuries by decreasing the running distance. In practice, it is extremely difficult.
RUNSAFE hope that all participants in the London marathon had a safe journey throughout the enriching route in central London.
