Solvej Videbæk, Andreas Bueno, Rasmus Oestergaard Nielsen and Sten Rasmussen have published a new article in the high-ranking journal Sports Medicine!
2015.05.09 | Rasmus Østergaard Nielsen
The article is a systematic review and meta-analysis entitled "Incidence of Running-Related Injuries Per 1000 h of running in Different Types of Runners: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis".
The main finding in this article suggests novice runners to face a significantly greater risk of injury per 1000 h of running than recreational runners. This is novel and in contrast to previous findings since other studies, using measures of injury risk, which does not take time spent running into account, suggest low mileage / novice runners to be at decreased risk of injury.
