New head of Unit for Clinical Quality

As of December 1, Mette Nørgaard is employed as consultant at Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Aarhus University Hospital, where she will be head of the newly established Unit for Clinical Quality.

Mette Nørgaard has been consultant at Department of Clinical Epidemiology in Aalborg, where she has been the day to day manager since 2005. Mette Nørgaard has a MD from Copenhagen University and a PhD in clinical epidemiology. She has vast experience with clinical epidemiology and has collaborated with colleagues and people in the political, administrative system both in relation to research and applied epidemiology. In addition, she is clinical associate professor at Aarhus University and has been course manager and lecturer at a number of PhD courses in clinical epidemiology.

As head of Unit for Clinical Quality, Mette Nørgaard will primarily be working with the clinical quality databases and will be advisor to the national databases, the National Board of Health and the regions. She will also contribute to further development of the quality both at a regional and a national level. Furthermore, Mette Nørgaard will, in collaboration with other department staff members, be responsible for implementing the department’s research programmes within clinical quality and assist in further developing the area of applied epidemiology.
