Last year, AU’s hallowed annual celebration was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic. But this year, the university is pulling out all the stops. There will be great live music – with acts including Eivør, Velvet Volume and Pernille Rosendahl – at Concert Hall Aarhus, speeches by Rector Brian Bech Nielsen and AU Board Chair Connie Hedegaard and the announcement of this year’s distinguished alum in the Main Hall.

On Tuesday 10 August, all AU employees received an email invitation to this year’s annual celebration, which will take place on Friday 10 September. The registration deadline is 24 August.
As an AU employee, you can register for both the afternoon ceremony in the Main Hall and the evening concert at Concert Hall Arhus – with or without a guest. Registration opens on 10 August at 9:00. Registration closes on 24 August, after which the event organiser KongresKompagniet will allocate seats by drawing lots among registered employees.
Members of AU’s management should register by clicking the link in the mail invitation sent out on 9 August, not the link in the mail to all employees sent out on 10 August.
