New parking rules for selected car parks in the University Park

Between 15 March and 1 October 2016, three cark parks at the University Park will be reserved for AU employees and guests between 7:00 and 17:00 on weekdays. The new rules is part of a pilot project that will give employees priority access to the limited number of parking spots around the University Park. During the project period employees and guests have to register their car in order to park in one of the three car parks and avoid a parking fine.

The car parks in the University Park are popular with drivers, and it is often difficult for university staff to find a vacant parking spot. To improve access to parking for employees and guests, AU has selected three car parks which will be reserved for AU employees and guests on a trial basis in the period 15 March to 1 October 2016.

The three car parks are located at:

Each car park will be marked with a signs from ParkZone. See the sign below.

If you frequently have business in any of the surrounding buildings and you would like a permit to use any of the reserved car parks in connection with the pilot project, you need to register your car with ParkZone.

How to register your car

Go to digital parking-website and click ‘Register your car’. You will be forwarded to ParkZone’s self-service website, where you can enter your car’s registration number. You can register up to two cars. However, both cars cannot be parked at any of the three car parks at the same time. After you have registered your car, you can park in the car parks marked with a ParkZone sign without risking a parking fine. However, you are not guaranteed a parking space.

If you park in one of these ParkZone car parks and your car is not registered with ParkZone, you will receive a parking fine if a parking attendant is patrolling the area.

Guests may register their cars using one of the monitors near the car park or at the reception desk/secretariat of the adjoining building.
