The purpose of the network is to create a multi-disciplinary research environment focusing on patient safety in emergency medicine, and in the transition to primary care and in-hospital departments. We welcome all researchers with an interest in patient safety within the area of emergency medicine and acute care.
The Patient Safety Network is situated in the Research Center for Emergency Medicine. We welcome all researchers with an interest in patient safety within the area of emergency medicine and acute care. The current research focus is - medication safety, clinical deterioration, clinical intuition, situational awareness, prevention of acute hospital admissions, patient reported experience measurements and covid-19 – examined by a variety of research methods. The network has ongoing regional, national and international research collaboration e.g. Trinity College Dublin, School of Nursing and Midwifery, Ireland and Brigham & Womens Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, USA.
