Magnus Kjærgaard and Poul Henning Jensen has in collaboration with Peter Kristensen, Aalborg University, received a grant of 125.000 USD from the Michael J. Fox Foundation to initiate studies to develop an intracellular sensor that can detect the progressive development of alpha-synuclein aggregates. If successful this will have great impact for modeling Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dmentia and for monitoring of preclinical disease intervention.
