How to write the best funding application

Three inspirational events in December help new and experienced researchers get ready to apply for funding from the EU and the Innovation Fund Denmark. Everyone is welcome – also if you are just curious about what applying involves.

Before the end of the year, Health will hold three more events to help and inspire researchers to apply for project funding.

Over the course of one hour, you will learn more about one of the biggest funding programmes and find out what requirements you need to meet in order to apply.

The inspirational events will be held as hybrid events, meaning that you can choose to participate in person or online.

If one of your ambitions is to write a qualified funding application, then you will find plenty of inspiration at the three events. There will be presentations by researchers who have already succeeded in obtaining funding from the programme in question, and one of the meetings will also feature a guest from the Innovation Fund Denmark

"Finding inspiration in what’s worked for other researchers in their funding applications is a really good idea. Helping and inspiring each other makes us all better, so I hope that many of you will attend the events – either online or in person," says Acting Dean Hans Erik Bøtker, who will be the moderator at all four events.

Test yourself: Do you have the potential to succeed with the large foundations?

Everyone who is interested is welcome to attend the inspirational events – no matter where they are in their research career. You can also come along even if you are not yet ready to write a funding application.

If you are in doubt about what is required to apply for funding from the European Research Council (ERC) or the Innovation Fund Denmark, you can use AU’s checklists to clarify whether the groundwork for applying is in place.
