How did humans adapt to the most recent Ice Age? Do election pledges have any influence on how people vote?

These are just two of the important questions that researchers at Aarhus University will now have the chance to study further thanks to grants from the European Research Council (ERC).

The council has awarded seven of the so-called Consolidator Grants to Danish universities, and six of these have been awarded to researchers at Aarhus University.

Consolidator Grants are awarded to promising junior research talents and research group leaders with seven to twelve years experience since completing their PhD.

The grants can be of up to 2 million euros for groundbreaking research projects over a five year period.
