Teaching experience should have the same weight as research activities when applying for an academic position. There will therefore be increased focus on documented teaching qualifications in connection with job applications for academic positions at Health.

Together with the application itself, thus far it has most probably been the CV and the list of publications that have received the most attention in connection with applications for an academic position at Health.
This situation will now change following the faculty management team’s decision last week to raise awareness of the applicant's teaching experience. The team decided that it should be possible to automatically reject applications in the PXS recruitment platform, if they do not include a separate teaching portfolio.
A teaching portfolio is a description of the applicant’s specific teaching experience. The portfolio serves a dual purpose: It gives the applicant a chance to consider and document his or her teaching experience and qualifications, while also providing the assessment committee with a more solid basis for assessing the applicant.
To ensure that teaching qualifications are in future assessed on an equal footing with research activities, the faculty management team decided that an automatic, systematic rejection of applicants who do not upload a teaching portfolio when applying for an academic position at Health should be established as soon as possible.
However, certain job categories will be fully or partially excluded from the automatic rejection:
No date has currently been determined for when the automatic rejection will be established in PXS. However, it is the case that an assessment committee must request a separate teaching portfolio if it is not present in connection with the application.
