In the view of Dean Lars Bo Nielsen, it makes sense for Health to be present at Denmark's Political Festival. After four hectic days of debates and discussions – both the formal and informal – the dean could take stock.
"Health science has played a key role this year. There have been many debates about health, and our researchers have been involved in several of them. We’ve also had many visitors to our events on board AU's research vessel AURORA, so it’s been a great success," says Lars Bo Nielsen.
Health hosted a debate on the political decision to allow doctors to prescribe medical cannabis – despite the drug not yet being approved by the Danish Medicines Agency. Participants included professor from the Department of Biomedicine, Helle Prætorius, and actor Søs Egelind, who has personal experience of medical cannabis.
