Starting on 5 April 2016, the design of student cards in Aarhus C and Herning will be changed. The changes are being made to improve security. It will not be necessary to replace your current card.

In addition to a new design, the new student cards will include your student registration number, your exam number (formerly card. number), your AU ID (a unique AU identification number) and a serial number.
You do not have to replace your current card, and it will continue to function normally after 5 April. However, if you lose your card and order a new one via mit.au.dk, you will receive a card with the new design. Please be aware that in future, you will be required to apply for access to your building again when you order a replacement card.
