While Aarhus University earned a position as number 96 in the ranking of the world's best universities in September 2014, the Aarhus School of Dentistry has just been ranked as the world's twenty-third best school of dentistry. This is shown by the new ranking list from QS World University Rankings.
The ranking list primarily measures the universities on the basis of their reputation among researchers and employers, the number of citations and internationalisation. Aarhus School of Dentistry has been evaluated in a group of fifty similar research institutions.
Head of Aarhus School of Dentistry at the Department of Dentistry, Ellen Frandsen Lau, is pleased with the ranking.
"It's not surprising that we are placed high up the list, as Scandinavian dentistry degree programmes are traditionally described as being amongst the best in the world. We have a very high level in Aarhus and it is a source of satisfaction that other people also recognise this," says Ellen Frandsen Lau.
