Friday 23 October at 11:00, Asser Hedegård Thomsen defends his PhD dissertation entitled “Homicide in Denmark 1992-2016”.
Homicides receive broad attention in society, but there is only sparse official statistics on homicides in Denmark. During 1992-2016 there were 1,417 homicides in Denmark. From the perspective of Forensic Medicine these homicides are reviewed with focus on the surrounding circumstances, the extent of violence and the impact of better medical treatment on the potential homicide victims..
