The administration must work smarter, not harder

The administration must improve the efficiency of a variety of work processes. This will take place in order to help realise the DKK 100 million in cost reductions initiated by the senior management team in 2015. The first phase of the cost reduction plan towards 2017 is almost in place

The EDGE project has received a grant of DKK 29 million from HORIZON2020. The grant provides the opportunity to train 15 PhD students within virology and immunology, the science of viruses and the immune system.

Joint European research to fight against the herpes virus

A project headed by Professor Søren Riis Paludan from Aarhus University has just received DKK 29 million. The aim of the project is to train 15 PhD students from five European countries within the fields of virology and immunology – and in particular the herpes virus.

Prioritised IT projects in 2016

On the background of an analysis of the university’s IT needs, a number of IT projects have been assigned top priority in 2016. Among the prioritised projects are the e-learning platform BlackBoard and Tjek&Go, which will simplify a number of administrative work processes connected with new hires and resignations.

Avoid parking fines: New parking rules for selected car parks in the University Park

Between 15 March and 1 October 2016, three car parks at the University Park will be reserved for AU employees between 7:00 and 17:00 on weekdays as part of a pilot project aimed at improving parking conditions for employees. Students are advised to find alternative car parks in order to avoid a parking fine.
