Parkinson’s disease may originate in the intestines

A theory that Parkinson's disease can arise in the intestinal system and from there migrate to the brain has now gained support from research conducted at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital.

Professor Mark Daly to receive honorary doctorate from AU

Mark Daly from the University of Helsinki is an important collaboration partner for a number of researchers at Health. He will be named honorary doctor in connection with Aarhus University's annual celebration in September.

1,910 AU employees participated in the 2019 DHL Relay Race

The 2019 DHL Relay Race is now over. A total of 1,910 AU employees had signed up to run or walk a route of five kilometres in Aarhus, Odense or Copenhagen.

Welcome to Lucie Woloszczuková - new Research Assistant in Nykjær Group

Lucie is a new Research Assistant in Anders Nykjær lab and she will work together with our postdoc Alena Salasova on the development of dopaminergic system. She will study how signaling alterations during brain development can be involved in the onset of psychiatric disorders.
