Pilot study on semen quality

The team behind SnartForældre.dk (SoonParents) has launched a substudy on semen quality. 40 male participants in SnartForældre.dk are invited to participate in the pilot study, which involves in-home semen testing by the men themselves.

Short video provides an important introduction to emergency response at AU

In an emergency, we all need to know what we can do to help each other. A new short video teaches employees and students what they need to know about emergency response procedures at Aarhus University. The video covers how to sound the alarm, evacuate and stay informed in a crisis.

More Health-researchers receive grants from the Independent Research Fund Denmark

An additional seven researchers from Health receive grants from the Independent Research Fund Denmark (IRFD). The grants fund research into e.g. treatment of severe heart failure, brain cancer and neonatal jaundice.

Studies have identified a clear association between epilepsy and mental disorders, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and psychosis. A Danish study has e.g. shown that people with epilepsy have a risk of developing schizophrenia that is two-and-a-half times higher than those without epilepsy.

Patients with both schizophrenia and epilepsy die alarmingly early

More than one in four patients with schizophrenia and epilepsy die before reaching the age of fifty. This is shown by research from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital. The results, which have been published in the journal Epilepsia, aim to contribute to ensuring patients will receive the correct treatment in time.
