Virtual DANDRITE Lecture by Brenda Bloodgood

Brenda Bloodgood, Associate Professor at the Neurobiology Section at University of California in San Diego, USA, will give a virtual DANDRITE lecture titled: "The unexpected precision of an inducible transcription factor." The lecture will take place online via Zoom.

In Denmark, a total of 4000 circumcisions are carried out on medical grounds, among other things due to phimosis (a condition in which the foreskin of the penis cannot stretch), and it is estimated that there are 2,000 ritual circumcisions annually. However, the last number is very uncertain, as the procedure is typically not registered.

Infant circumcision may lead to social challenges as an adult

Undergoing circumcision as an infant has delayed psychological complications. This is shown by an international study led by researchers from Aarhus University.

Keisuke Yonehara receives one more Lundbeck Foundation grant

Group Leader Keisuke Yonehara has been awarded one more grant from the Lundbeck Foundation. The Lundbeck Foundation has granted Keisuke with 3,000,000 DKK for the NIH Brain Initiative project. Congratulations, Keisuke!
