Christoffer Laustsen was appointed professor at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital from 1 December. Here he will develop advanced MRI technologies which can help medical doctors and researchers to more precisely diagnose and find the right treatment for serious diseases.

Associate Professor Rasmus O. Bak from Aarhus University receives a Carlsberg Foundation Young Researcher Fellowship and DKK five million towards his research into blood stem cells. Using CRISPR/Cas technology, he seeks new knowledge about the human genome that can lead to the development of new medicines for patients with serious blood disorders.

A new research project from Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital examines whether the Central Denmark Region’s digital platform ‘Living with and after cancer' works as intended. The platform is intended to support the rehabilitation of cancer patients, and the Danish Cancer Society has given the project a grant of DKK 1.9 million.

Professor Venerino Poletti is internationally recognised for his research into respiratory diseases. On 1 December he will officially become an honorary professor at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital, where he will strengthen the field of respiratory medical research, education and treatment.
