More Research Year students for supervisors

From the Research Year application round October 2021, each main supervisor can now get a maximum of two applicants approved for enrolment in each round. Until now it has only been possible to get one applicant approved from each  main supervisor.

Shoulder rehabilitation at home is equally as effective as at a training centre

Receiving shoulder rehabilitation from a physiotherapist works equally well, regardless of whether the exercise takes place individually, as part of a group or as home-based training. This is shown by new research from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University and the Department of Occupational Medicine, Herning Regional Hospital.

Researchers make genetic manipulation more natural

Researchers from Aarhus University have developed a new CRISPR based method that can temporarily turn a gene up and down without altering its DNA. The method enables them to study the effect of genes in cells and their role in the development of diseases. The results have been published in the scientific journal Genome Research.

Last year, the annual celebration was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
