In addition to contributing to increasing the efficiency of the administration, the unit is also preparing to play an important role in relation to the university’s goals in the areas of research and education.
AU IT now consists of three departments:
The development team includes portfolio management staff as well as the architecture staff and the integration team from the former system and development unit. A independent team for architecture has been established in this department. This team will work to coordinate the many systems which are in use at AU today and to optimise the processes which are supported by the systems. Kristine Stougaard Thomsen Manager heads the department as development manager.
The web department includes the former web and digital media unit as well as the application team. A new user experience team has been established which has expertise in user surveys, user experience, design and information architecture. This team will contribute to ensuring that the university involves users in all phases of development projects and in the ongoing management of IT systems. Steffen Longfors heads the department as web manager.
The operations department has only been slightly modified and will continue to consist of three operations teams and IT support for the central administration. Søren Christensen will continue to head this department.
The new organisation came into force on 12 October. See the organogram here.
