The Danish public health authorities recommend that everyone get vaccinated against Covid-19. Aarhus University supports this recommendation, so the university has set up a pop-up vaccination site to make it easy for students and employees to get vaccinated as they return for the new semester.
The pop-up vaccination site at the Lakeside Lecture Theatres is operated by Central Denmark Region and will be open from 30 August until 10 September. The opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00-13:00, and you don’t need an appointment.
Anyone who has received an invitation from the Danish healthcare authorites to be vaccinated against Covid-19 can get vaccinated here – whether it’s your first or second jab. However, you should be aware that if you have received the first jab with the Moderna vaccine, you cannot switch to the Pfizer vaccine for your second jab. Only the Pfizer vaccine is available at Central Denmark Region’s pop-up site.
International employees and students who do not have a Danish CPR number can also get vaccinated at the Lakeside Lecture Theatres on Friday 3 or Friday 10 September from 11:00-13:00.
If you do not wish to get vaccinated, we urge you to get tested in accordance with the Danish Health and Medicines Authority’s guidelines. And we still urge anyone infected with Covid-19 to report it to AU so that the university can assist in contact tracing. Students should fill out this Covid-19 reporting form. Employees should inform their manager.
On au.dk/corona you’ll find up-to-date information on the guidelines and restrictions that apply at Aarhus University.
