One of Aarhus University goal’s is to increase society’s ability to innovate and adapt, and for this reason the senior management team now wish to add even more leadership to the collaboration with business and industry – also at faculty level.

A central industrial cooperation committee at AU consisting of the senior management team has already been established; the next step is the establishment of committees at the faculties. To secure managerial focus and direction in this area, the industrial cooperation committee at Health will be identical with the faculty management team.

The committee is tasked with coordination, knowledge exchange and creating cohesion within the corporate area across the departments, with the corporate area being understood in a broad sense in this context. During the course of their degree programmes, the students will be offered increased opportunities to come into contact with companies, while for researchers can find new opportunities for collaboration on specific projects, joint applications and co-financing of PhDs and postdocs.

The industrial cooperation committee’s tasks

  • To strengthen the faculty's collaboration with business and industry and public institutions, both within the research and education areas.
  • To securing knowledge sharing, co-ordination and implementation of activities within the corporate area across the faculty and in coherence with AU's industrial cooperation committee and committee on education.
  • To develop strategies for agreements with companies.

In connection with the industrial cooperation committee, Health is establishing a business forum, which will ensure a broad range of tasks, the inclusion of committed enthusiasts and contribute to the development and implementation of corporate activities at the faculty.

The business forum’s tasks

  • To provide support to the industrial cooperation committee with knowledge about activities across the faculty.
  • To plan events, conferences, networks and the like across the faculty that raise the profile of the corporate area at the faculty.
  • To contribute to the implementation of initiatives.

The business forum consists of industrial cooperation committees, the industrial ambassadors and the directors of studies at Health.

The industrial cooperation committee at Health will hold its inaugural meeting on Tuesday 14 March.
